1. Dal lake Floating market, Sri Nagar

The magical Dal Lake, a heart-pounding valley covered with the picturesque Himalayan mountains embraced in a white blanket of snow. Of course, the lake is already famous for its houseboats but the floating market is making it more attractive for travelers.

2. Triveni Floating mall on Kerala backwaters
The 'God's Own Country, Kerala movingly ahead of its charm through the next level floating market. Amidst the serene allure of the backwaters in Kerala, you'll find floating shopping mall. Called, Triveni Super Store in the low-lying Kuttanadu area of the Alappuzha district.
The Triveni super boat, lined with shelves full of grain to perfumes and health drinks to shampoos. It docks at 53 villages along the backwaters. The boat also offers items likes television sets, refrigerator at subsidized rates. Besides catering to local villagers, the floating mall is a major tourist attraction in the area. Hence, giving the ride to 2O people on board at a time for safety reasons, The mall is open from 8 am to 6 pm.
3. Kolkata floating market, Patuli
Kolkata is now the latest entrant into the list of floating-market destinations. Rich traditional culture and British colonial history of a city have geared up a proud display of a unique floating market on its waterfront, in the lake at Patuli. Fish, veggies, fruits, meat, flowers and of course coconuts, can be found in the market. The markets open from 6 a.m to 9 p.m.
